1. Lednice Castle (UNESCO) = the jewel of the Lednice-Valtice area, a magnificent romantic castle with an extensive park covering 200 hectares. The park includes various romantic structures. The entire area, including Valtice Castle and the water features, covers 20,000 hectares, making it the largest man-made landscaped area in Europe!

2. Český Krumlov (UNESCO) – a stunning historic Baroque town and an awe-inspiring largest castle complex in the Czech Republic covering 7 hectares. The castle features a famous Baroque theater. In the park, there is a unique rotating audience seating of the open-air theater. Popular activity – boat rental.

3. Hluboká Castle – a romantic Neo-Gothic castle inspired by England’s Windsor, often considered the most beautiful in the Czech Republic.

4. Karlštejn Castle – a Gothic castle founded by the Czech king and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV as a place to store royal treasures, including coronation jewels and relics. The Great Tower with the Chapel of the Holy Cross – one of the most valuable and impressive Gothic sites in Europe. The walls and vault are decorated with gold and gemstones to emphasize the nobility and sanctity of the place. Karlštejn – a symbol of Czech statehood – was never conquered.

5. Mikulov – a castle in a wine region with natural beauty and an amazing atmosphere. Historic center with baroque and renaissance houses. Baroque Dietrichstein Tomb.

6. Konopiště Castle – the grand and extensive residence of Franz d’Este, heir to the Austro-Hungarian imperial throne. His assassination in Sarajevo triggered World War I. Rich hunting collections and park.

7. Loket Castle – built in the 12th century as a royal guard castle. Throughout history, it served not only as a fortress but also as a prison, and even the young Charles IV was imprisoned here.

8. Bouzov Castle – the romantic appearance of the castle with battlements, bay windows, arrow slits, and gargoyles created by a modern reconstruction. A fairytale castle often used by filmmakers.

9. Křivoklát Castle – built by the Přemyslids in the 12th century and over the centuries became a favorite residence of Czech kings, including Charles IV. During the Hussite wars, the crown jewels were kept here. In the 16th century, the castle became the property of the Habsburgs.

10. Pernštejn Castle – a medieval castle from the 13th century, preserved in its unchanged Gothic-Renaissance form, including original furniture and paintings, a magnificent residence of the Pernštejn family, which was never conquered.

11. Telč (UNESCO) – a picturesque town with a castle. Renaissance architecture, a square with burgher houses featuring arcades and decorated gables. Telč is surrounded by ponds that were originally used for defense.

12. Sychrov Castle – a beautiful neo-Gothic castle with a rich interior and a castle park.

13. Kroměříž Castle – Archbishop’s Castle with a beautiful flower and castle lower gardens (UNESCO).

14. Loučeň Castle – hotel, park with 12 mazes, popular with families with children.

15. Třeboň – a historic town surrounded by fish ponds, ideal for cycling trips. A square with Baroque and Renaissance houses. The castle, originally the residence of the Rožmberk and Schwarzenberg families. In the park, the Schwarzenberg neo-Gothic tomb.

16. Rábí Castle – The largest castle ruin in the Czech Republic. Originally a watch fortress, it was transformed into a large stronghold to protect the trade route from Bavaria and the gold panning sites on the Otava River.

17. Litomyšl Castle (UNESCO) – an arcaded Renaissance castle from 1581. Sgraffito decoration. The castle includes a Baroque theater with the original stage and decorations. A city of culture. Nearby is the Rococo Nové Hrady Castle.

18. Slapy and Orlík dams – a wide range of swimming in clean water, pedal boat and boat rentals, Orlík Castle, Zvíkov Castle, steamboat rides.

19. Máchovo Lake – sandy beaches, campsites, walking and cycling trail around the lake, Bezděz Castle, Křivoklát Castle, sandstone rocks of the Křivoklát region, steamboat rides, warm water, only green towards the end of summer.

20. Pálava – white limestone cliffs in the middle of a wine region with excellent wine and a Mediterranean atmosphere, the Děvičky ruins, Pavlov Archaeopark, Aqualand Moravia, cycling paths.
